Mohan Yadav | Congress, that has amended the constitution at least 100 times while in power, has come to realization that the constitution is now in danger. Congress, which did not fulfil its ‘Garibi Hatao’ promise despite being in power for so many years, has to reiterate the same promise even today. But the country’s electorate will no longer be fooled by Congress’s false promise, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav expressed his belief on Saturday while talking to media persons at the Bharatiya Janata Party state office in Mumbai. BJP’s Lok Sabha election in-charge Dr. Dinesh Sharma, BJP Mumbai president MLA Ashish Shelar, general secretary Sanjay Upadhyay, state media in-charge Navnath Ban and others were present on this occasion. “It must have pained revered late. Balasaheb Thackeray to see Mumbai bomb blast accused campaigning for Nakali (fake) Shiv Sena’s candidate for the Lok Sabha elections,” said Shri. Yadav while making a dig at Uddhav Thackeray.
Yadav said that on the basis of the majority over the last 10 years, the BJP-NDA government took many important decisions for the development and in the national interest of the country. Since the Opposition is not able to criticize us for the development works, they are resorting to spreading false information. While propagating that in case BJP-NDA wins 400 seats, the country’s constitution will be in danger, the Congress is conveniently forgetting how they had in fact made amendments at least 100 times during their tenure. Shri. Yadav informed that since the implementation of the Constitution in 1950, it has been amended 11 times during Pt. Nehru’s tenure, 17 times during Indira Gandhi’s tenure and 10 times during Rajiv Gandhi’s term. Reminding the journalists that imposing Emergency was in fact strangling the constitution and democracy, Shri. Yadav said that the voters will not believe Congress’s false propaganda of the constitution being in danger.
Yadav cited many references to point out differences between the NDA, Mahayuti government on one hand and the UPA, MVA government on the other. On one hand there is the BJP-NDA, Mahayuti government that has constructed Sagari Setu, Metro, bridges, roads, abrogated Article 370 thus giving justice to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, protecting the dignity of Muslim women by abolishing the practice of Triple Talaq and implementing schemes for the welfare of the people regardless of caste and religion. And on the other hand, there is the MVA and UPA government that has always obstructed development works being undertaken, disrupted the execution of Mumbai Metro and constantly spread propaganda about reservation and constitution. People are not as gullible as perceived by the Opposition. He also expressed confidence that for the fifth phase of the elections, the voters will vote in favour of the BJP-NDA and Mahayuti candidates to help realize the vision of Viksit Bharat, thus teaching the Opposition a lesson.
