In a strong reaction to recent comments made by Sachin Vaze, the chief spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar faction, Mahesh Tapase, labeled Vaze as a “disgraced person.”
Tapase criticized Vaze’s latest statement concerning former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, dismissing it as politically motivated statement.
Sachin Vaze, a former Mumbai police officer who became embroiled in a high-profile controversy that significantly impacted Maharashtra’s political landscape made fresh allegations against Anil Deshmukh, suggesting misconduct during Deshmukh’s tenure.
However, Tapase was quick to remind that Vaze had previously testified before the Chandiwal Commission, asserting that never did Anil Deshmukh nor his personal assistants demand any money nor instructed him to collect money from Mumbai’s restaurant and bar owners.
“The statement made by Vaze is clearly politically motivated,” Tapase asserted, suggesting that the timing and nature of Vaze’s comments are intended to serve certain political interests.
Tapase reminded that Parambir Singh who made serious allegations against Anil Desmukh was reluctant to face the Chandiwal Commission. He later submitted a letter to the Commission stating that his allegation was based on an information which he had heard and he didn’t have any concrete proof to substantiate the same.”
