Sunil Tatkare | Defamation Campaign by Opposition Out of Ajitdada’s Fear, NCP Will Rise Above All

Ahmednagar | NCP State President MP Sunil Tatkare expressed the belief that a defamation campaign of Ajit Pawar is deliberately carried out by the opposition since they are most afraid of Ajitdada’s NCP. “Stones are mostly hurled on trees bearing more fruits. But the NCP will rise above all and rebuild,” he said at the review meeting held in the Akole assembly constituency in Ahmednagar district on Wednesday.

Sunil Tatkare said the statewide tour under the slogan ‘Sole Aim, Assembly Elections’ is to strengthen the leadership of Ajit Pawar across the state.

“The foundation of the social structure of the state rests on the progressive ideas of Shiv-Shahu-Phule-Ambedkar. However, the opposition soiled the social structure in the Lok Sabha elections. They succeeded in instilling a sense of insecurity in the minds of minorities,” he added.

Tatkare reminded that many works were done by Ajit Pawar and Tatkare when he was the Resources Minister. “Irrigation work was carried out through Nilvande Dam in the Akole taluka which has a high tribal population,” he said.

Tatkare said it is imperative that we respond to the Opposition’s misrepresentation and villainization of Ajitdada. “The Opposition tried to capitalise on this in the elections but it did not benefit them. They may have succeeded in creating a sympathy wave for themselves in the Lok Sabha elections but it will no longer have any effect,” he added.

Tatkare refuted rumours that Ajit Pawar bowed before Delhi. “Workers need to emphasise on the fact that it’s a matter of pride for the party that Ajitdada was in the first row alongside the top NDA leaders,” he said.
