Umesh Patil | We will learn from our mistakes, rectify them, and face the Assembly Elections

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Spokesperson Umesh Patil, in a press conference on Wednesday, expressed belief that we will learn from the mistakes or errors made by us in the Lok Sabha elections which will be duly rectifed and the party will face the Assembly elections.

“There are no disputes in Mahayuti. Some statements are coming from those who have succeeded in the elections. Some of our karyakartas are pouring out their emotions due to a setback. But keeping the Assembly elections in mind, we will ensure that no misunderstandings remain between us,” Umesh Patil clarified, adding that unternal disagreements would be sorted out before the coordinating committee and the focus is now on the Assembly elections.

Patil also stated that the newspaper is not the official mouthpiece of the Sangh but of the ideology of the Sangh. “I don’t think top BJP leaders agree with whoever wrote the article. One keep finding different reasons of failure. When political parties are against each other, they find fault and make accusations. In politics there accusations are thrown at each other. Everything depends on the ultimate results. I don’t think there’s any truth in what the Sangh said,” Patil said.

Patil also emphasised on the fact that considering Ajitdada’s hardwork, dedication and commitment, the BJP leadership has decided to stay with us for long term.

“Designing policies on the Shiv – Shahu – Phule – Ambedkar ideology or making special provisions for the Muslim community is not a progressive ideology. A progressive ideology is a thought that promotes pantheism and takes an inclusive stance of the society. It is a consideration of equality. Many people from the Muslim community have made a great contribution to India. The educational and economic progress of the community is being done as per the constitution. The High Court accepted our decision of giving 5 percent educational reservation to the Muslim community. However, later, the issue was pushed behind. We stand firm on our position that the Muslim community should get reservation,” Patil said.
