Pune | BJP party worker Shivaji Madhavrao Mankar seeks Lok Sabha candidature from Pune

Pune : Shivaji Madhavrao Mankar, affiliated with ‘Friends of BJP,’ has expressed his desire to secure candidature from the Pune Lok Sabha constituency. He was talking to media at a press conference held in the city on Monday.

During a press conference, Mankar stated his willingness to receive the nomination. He expressed his determination to work for Pune with the motto ‘One Mission, Pune Number One,’ emphasizing collaboration with all city residents to contribute to building a strong India as envisioned by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adv. Mandar Joshi, Amit Jadhav, Adv. N. D. Sable, Abhijit Deshpande, and others were present on the occasion.

Mankar addressing media said, “Numerous ideas are envisioned for the comprehensive development of the city. The focus will be on working collaboratively with the public to address issues such as traffic problems, ensuring proper water supply, expanding the metro, improving the parking system, empowering schools through industrial social responsibility (CSR) funds, promoting cleanliness, and fostering skill development.”

Sharing about his background and the why he is aiming to get candidature, Shivaji Madhavrao Mankar said, “I was born in Narayan Peth, and my childhood and career flourished in Pune. Being familiar with Pune’s challenges, I have witnessed exemplary development models from around the country and abroad over the years. We can implement these models in Pune, and all the necessary planning is underway. To bring valuable projects and industries to Pune and address local issues, it is crucial to seize the opportunity to represent Pune in the Lok Sabha.”

Mankar had earlier contested for Yewla, “I have been associated with the BJP for many years. In 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Mr. Devendra Fadnavis provided me with an opportunity to contest from Yewla Constituency. Despite facing Minister Chhagan Bhujbal without prior preparation, I presented a strong fight, demonstrating my leadership skills and garnering support from all parties. We believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party will offer me the opportunity to serve the people of Pune by nominating me for the Pune Lok Sabha, aiming for a majority in all six constituencies,” Mankar added.

Mankar also highlighted plans for the conservation of the Mula-Mutha river and providing skill development training to women and youth through central government schemes. He emphasized the utilization of CSR funds from numerous industrial companies in Pune to launch various projects and activities, encouraging widespread participation.
