Sunil Tatkare | Once ‘Your Man’ is Elected, Will Never Leave Social Cause
Roha | Nationalist Congress Party state president and Raigad MP Sunil Tatkare said he is committed to never leaving working for social causes now that ‘Aapla Manus’ or ‘Your Man’ is elected even during a political transition. He was speaking at the thanksgiving meeting held at Roha on Saturday.
Expressing gratitude to Rohekars, Sunil Tatkare said, “I can never forget in my life how Mahayuti workers worked around the clock through which Rohekars gave us the majority. The taluka has provided a great force behind me. While contesting elections against each other, I did not keep any prejudices.”
Tatkare said some seats were lost due to the Opposition’s fake propaganda of changes in the Constitution of India. “A feeling of insecurity was created among the minorities. Everyone has the right to seek votes in elections, but when caste politics happened despite the presence of Sharad Pawar Saheb, it was deeply saddening. In the last 40 years, I never tried to create any rift but worked for an inclusive thought for all religions in society,” he said.
Tatkare said people showed PWP (SheKaPa) their place. “A fake picture was created that PWP would be the kingmaker. But Rohekars and district people showed them their place and proved they are none of the sorts,” he said. He also expressed confidence that Mahayuti will win all the six assembly seats in the Raigad district. Tatkare also appreciated and expressed gratitude towards his wife for staying by his side throughout the election and determinedly walking alongside him tirelessly.
Tatkare committed to Rohekars that work will begin for a 50-bed supers-speciality hospital in 15 days upon discussion with the Adani group. “The hospital will be operational within a year. I also intend to set up another such hospital in the area.”
Tatkare also informed that the tallest statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will come up in Roha and the memorial of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will also be completed soon. “Raigad has given unprecedented success to me after 40 years of hard work. I thank all the wise and intelligent people for supporting me.”
Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare assured Rohekars that they will not only get support from the state government but also from the Centre. “Even while the politics of casteism was going on in the constituency, people rightly took control of the elections and elected the representative based on the issue of development.”
Aditi thanked Sunil Tatkre for treating the people of the constituency as his family and got duly rewarded for their hard work by the public. She also thanked the people of Srivardhan Constituency for all their efforts to elect the Mahayuti MP.
Tatkare started his thanksgiving tour on June 14 following a victory in Raigad Lok Sabha constituency by a huge margin. He was welcomed on behalf of Mahayuti in Roha. MLA Aniket Tatkare kicked off the programme. Among others, MLA Aniket Tatkare, NCP District President Madhukar Patil, Shiv Sena Taluka Chief Manoj Shinde, BJP Taluka President Amit Ghag, Nitin Tendulkar, Former Mayor Santosh Potphode, Kunbi Samaj Leader Sunil Magar, President of Kunbi Samaj Ramchandra Sakpal, NCP Taluka President Vinod Pashilkar, leader Dipika Chiplunkar, and Mahayuti leaders in large numbers remained present on the occasion.
