Sunil Tatkare | This Lok Sabha Elections Will Shape Country’s Identity and Future

Sunil Tatkare | Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President and candidate for Raigad Lok Sabha Constituency MP Sunil Tatkare said the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will shape the country’s identity and future and appealed to opt for the ‘clock’ symbol on May 7 elections. He was speaking at the Mahayuti public meeting held in Tala attended by thousands.

Starting from Nandgaon in Sudhagad taluka, Tatkare held six public meetings, the sixth being Tala. “Tala taluka has given me strength during my testing times, giving me a majority of 5,500 votes. So far, we fought separately in Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Parishad, and corporations but now we have to fight together. The taluka has ample affection for me. I am sure that Tala taluka will comprise of 80% of polling for me,” Tatkare said.

While expressing concern for migration from the taluka, Tatkare assured that employment opportunities would be created in the taluka so that people need not migrate to ensure better lives. He said, “The journey of Tala’s 25 years of history unfolded in front of my eyes. I am delighted that years-long conflicts between parties have ended and we are in Mahayuti today. Tala taluka is an example of unity when people come together for the greater good of people.”

Tatkare reiterated that the Constitution of India will remain unchanged. “Misconceptions are being created that the Constitution is in danger. “Our country’s independent journey began from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s constitution. Yet, confusion is being deliberately created among Ambedkarites,” he said.

Tatkare accused Anant Geete of polluting the social atmosphere by engaging in religious politics. “Geete’s whole life comprises of politics of religion. He mentioned AR Antule as a green snake and said that the green python of the Muslim community should be stomped under the feet. However, now he goes to the minorities and Bahujan communities seeking votes citing disharmony in religions,” he said.

Tatkare said the elections are crucial to ensure the progress of the country. “We came together because you align with our ideology. Ambedkarites work together in tandem and the country needs to progress,” he stated.
