Sunil Tatkare | Opponents Sinning That Modi Will Change the Constitution

Sunil Tatkare | Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President and candidate for Raigad Lok Sabha Constituency MP Sunil Tatkare said our faith in the Constitution of India remains unshaken but the Opposition is committing a sin by claiming that Narendra Modi will be changing it. He was speaking in Hedvi at the Mahayuti’s public meeting on Sunday.

Tatkare said Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, through the constitution, gave India integrity and unity and the elections will be a historic moment in India.

“People showed the strength of democratic system when they overthrew the Indira Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi government during the emergency outbreak. A government was set up with multiple alliances. We went with the BJP but did not compromise on our ideology. The country saw so much instability that governments were formed three times in a row. But when the BJP announced Narendra Modi’s name, the politics got a different turn and people have accepted his name. Today, we are experiencing 10 years of development,” Tatkare said, adding that those clamouring about Constitution change will have to keep mum after a historic verdit on June 4.

Tatkare said the COVID-19 vaccine in India was facilitated by Modi who was the PM then and will remain after the election as well. “Today, the country is developing rapidly and many schemes are coming up and reaching in villages as well,” he said.

Tatkare lambasted Anant Geete for using foul language. “In his 30 years of career he hasn’t even built a single stretch of a road in the village. When I was the minister, I eased industry load in Maharashtra and provided relief to people. What did you do for the Kunbi community in your 30 years stint as an MP?” he asked, adding that Ajit Pawar announced funding for the community that was not included in the budget.

Tatkare also claimed that the coaltion will get 45+ seats in Maharashtra. “There is a need to tell people of every nook and corner of villages about the historic elections. People will support the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti in the elections. We will work for people of all religions and communities in the future,” he said.

Former minister Ramdas Kadam heaped praises on Tatkare stating that he pulled Maharashtra from darkness to light. “This election is for the country’s identity. No PM has done things that Narendra Modi has in the last decade,” he said.
