Sunil Tatkare | Those who can’t see social harmony are creating rift between religions for vote-bank politics
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President and candidate for Raigad Lok Sabha Constituency MP Sunil Tatkare attacked the Opposition for disrupting social harmony and deliberately creating a rift between castes and religions. On Monday, he was speaking at a Mahayuti coalition’s public meeting in Mahad city.
“We are proud that Ram Mandir was built in Ayodhya. At the same time, a mosque is also being built for our Muslim brethren. But they won’t say such things to the Muslim community. In fact, fake messages are being sent on WhatsApp to alter the community’s opinions. They are trying to malign and pollute the social harmony,” Tatkare said. He also warned that if someone tries to instigate violence or riots, they will not be spared.
Sunil Tatkare criticised the opposition for trying to create a rift in society. He said, “I appeal to Uddhav Thackeray and Anant Geete to inform the public about the CAA law. It relaxes residence conditions for those who shifted to the neighbouring countries and wish to return. Nothing will affect our India-loving Muslims of the nation.” He also appealed to the Muslim community to ignore the ones trying to create disharmony among religions through WhatsApp and look at the secular views of Mahayuti instead.
While recounting the political history to the public, Tatkare cited examples of the state of stability and instability in India and how Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar safeguarded the democratic system and kept social equality alive. He said, “It is sad that they are spoiling the social harmony in a state where Dr Ambedkar laid the foundation of social revolution and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built the Hindu Swarajya.”
Guardian Minister and Industries Minister Uday Samant appealed to people to vote for Tatkare on May 7 and stated that it is only left to witness by how big a margin will Tatkare win.
Shiv Sena’s chief whip Bharat Gogawale said, “Just as we bow to Maharaj at Raigad, we also started bowing to the statue of Dr Ambedkar at Chavdar Tale. Why could Anant Geete not do it all these years? Where was he? Tatkare should be elected in the interest of India and he should become a minister in the cabinet at the Centre.”
MLA Amol Mitkari lambasted Sanjay Raut and Jitendra Awhad for assuming responsibility for ending their respective parties– the Tutari Group and Mashaal Group. “Aditi Tatkare introduced the fourth women’s policy to empower Maharastra’s women. Although she has her father’s guidance, she has come up in life on her own merit. Ones criticising Tatkare should be answered befittingly,” he said.
