Samsung’s mixed reality headset is coming to rival Apple, know when it will launch and its price

Samsung, Google and Qualcomm are all set to launch 30,000 units of their mixed reality (MR) headsets in the market by the end of 2024 to compete with the Apple Vision Pro. According to a report by Upload VR and Korean newspaper The Joonang, the XR Alliance, formed by Samsung, Google and Qualcomm, plans to launch a mixed reality headset next year.

The JunAng report claims that the production target for Samsung headsets will be 30,000 units for 2024. The South Korean giant has introduced a higher resolution screen from Samsung Display for its XR headset. Samsung has informed developers that its new MR headset will launch in late 2024. The Samsung headset is expected to cost around $2,000, while the Apple Vision Pro will cost $3,499.

South Korean news outlet ETNews reports that Samsung has built prototypes of the headset and plans to send samples to developers.
