According to a release issued by the Finance Ministry, the Financial Investigation Department has initiated an investigation into the transactions of Paytm Payments Bank based on specific information received from the Directorate of Enforcement, regarding certain entities involved in illegal activities and their business relationship. It has been mentioned in this statement that the money received from illegal activities like organizing and providing facilities for online gambling was sent to the account of Paytm Payments Bank through bank accounts.
