Mumbai’s first QR code square in memory of the musical gem Sudhir Phadke was inaugurated

The inauguration was done by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai – In memory of the musical maestro Sudhir Phadke, Mumbai’s first QR code square was established through the initiative of Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Today, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated this square with his auspicious hands. The square has been established near the French Bridge in the Gaavdevi area of Mumbai city on Dr. Atmaram Rangnekar Road. The inauguration ceremony featured the ‘Geet Ramayan’ program by Sudhir Phadke’s son, Shridhar Phadke.

“This square represents an opportunity to preserve the memories of a true patriot and a musical maestro. I commend Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha for inaugurating Mumbai’s first QR code square dedicated to Babuji’s memory. Today’s unveiling of this square brings immense joy. Minister Lodha consistently works to glorify Maharashtra and our cultural heritage and this event serves as an exemplary testament to his ongoing efforts. This chowk is an elegant creation and a wonderful tribute to the maestro” Said DCM Devendra Fadanvis

“There are numerous chowks, and statues named after eminent personalities but many of us have little information about their work. To address this, we have created the first QR code square in Mumbai. Anyone scanning this QR code will quickly access all the information. With the collaboration of the Municipal Corporation, we plan to extend this project throughout Mumbai. Sudhir Phadke’s contributions to the music industry and his significant contributions to the nation will undoubtedly inspire everyone. Reading about his work is sure to provide inspiration to all” Said Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Sudhir Phadke was an unparalleled artist in the field of music, having accomplished remarkable work. Over the years, he captivated audiences in Maharashtra with his talent, leaving them in awe of his musical prowess. In his memory, Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha undertook the beautification work of this square. To support this project, financial assistance was provided through the MLA fund of Cabinet Minister Lodha.

In the city, numerous squares and monuments exist, yet details about them are currently unavailable. Minister Lodha proposed not only enhancing aesthetics but also ensuring unrestricted access to information about squares or statues dedicated to luminaries, great personalities, revered saints, and thinkers. This approach is crucial for cultivating awareness and appreciation among both residents of Mumbai and tourists. His suggestion involved implementing QR codes at memorials or squares, going beyond mere beautification to facilitate comprehensive information access on this subject.

Accordingly, a QR code has been permanently set up in the square dedicated to Sudhir Phadke. Through this, information about his life’s work, songs, and books will now be readily available to the residents of Mumbai with just a click. This QR code square is the first initiative of its kind, and the administration is planning to extend this concept to important locations in Mumbai city and its suburbs in the near future.
