No beneficiary will be deprived of ‘Kisan’ scheme – Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde

Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde: No eligible beneficiary farmer in the state will be deprived of the PM Kisan scheme of the central government and the ‘Namo Kisan Mahasanman’ scheme of the state government. Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde informed that the Agriculture Department is active in this regard today during the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly.

Member Nana Patole asked a question in this regard. Minister Munde said that about 96 lakh farmers from the state were eligible for PM Kisan Yojana. After the announcement of Namo Kisan Mahasanman Yojana by the state government, the procedure of this scheme was fixed as per the central rules. However, due to non-fulfillment of e-KYC, linking of bank account with Aadhaar number, 12 to 13 lakh farmers were deprived of the benefits. He said that after the distribution of the 14th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana, this matter was realized and a special campaign was carried out in coordination with the Departments of Agriculture, Revenue and Land Records and so far these conditions of about 6 lakh farmers have been fulfilled.

Action is also being taken to reduce the names of farmers who are not beneficiaries due to small landholding or other reasons from the scheme. However, Minister Munde also informed that this action will not affect any eligible beneficiary. Member Balasaheb Thorat also asked a supplementary question on this issue.
