Asian Games: Ojas Devtale and Jyoti Venman win gold in mixed doubles archery

Asian Games – Ojas Devtale and Jyoti Vennam won the gold medal in archery mixed doubles in the Asian Games. With this gold medal, 71 medals have accumulated in India’s account.

This is India’s best ever performance in the Asian Games. Earlier, India won 69 medals in the event held in Jakarta. Today’s day of competition started with Ram Babu and Manju Rani bagging a bronze medal in the 35 km mixed event.

Meanwhile, Indian athletes also performed brilliantly yesterday in the ongoing Asian Games in Hongzhou, China, bagging 2 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. Yesterday’s day was dominated by the players in the outdoor competition. Annu Rani won the gold medal in the women’s javelin event. Parul Chaudhary bagged the gold medal in women’s 5000m running event.

Tejaswin Shankar made history by winning silver medal in men’s decathlon event. Also, Mohammad Afzal bagged a silver medal in the men’s 800m event. With a total of 69 medals including 15 gold, 26 silver and 28 bronze, India is at the fourth position in the medal table.
